LDAP Services for Discovery Education Use

Posted by Ken Zimmerman on Mon, Jan 6, 2014

IU13 Instructional Services is pleased to announce that we are now offering LDAP services for IU13 IMS (Instructional Media Services) member districts.  Through the use of LDAP, your teachers and students will receive users accounts in which they log in to Discovery Education using their regular school credentials.  We are excited to offer this service as one of your IMS membership benefits.

All current "playlists" will roll over to the new accounts so teachers/students need not fear losing what they have already set up.

Please keep in mind it is our goal to make this transition as smooth as possible for all your teachers and students, but it will take some time.  If you are interested in obtaining LDAP services for your district, please take a moment to click on this Form Link and fill out the necessary information needed.  You will be placed in the queue for processing.

Upon receipt of your request, you will receive an email confirmation that we received your request.  When it is time to begin the process with your district, we will contact you once again to begin the process.  Our goal is to have all interested districts rolled over by this summer.  If you want to wait to begin until summer 2014, you can indicate that on the form request.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Ken Zimmerman, who oversees our IMS.
