4 Tips for Facilitating a BreakoutEDU Game

Breakout EDU games immerse students in critical thinking and problem-solving. Facilitating games is a great way for teachers to be the guide on the side and observe their students in action. Here are a few tips to help you get your students engaged in the 4C skills with Breakout EDU!

  1. Provide a set of extra clues for every 4-6 students. This allows for smaller groups to collaborate and ensures engagement by all students.
  2. Designate a Locksmith - this is the person to test and open the locks. Rotate this person per game.
  3. Provide Locks Parking Lot & Locks Recording Sheets - See links to the left.
  4. Take a step back- Yes, the struggle is real and it is an important part of the problem-solving process. Give students the time and space to ponder, question, and talk through the puzzles before providing hints.

I hope we just answered questions for you like:

-“Do I have a license for BreakoutEDU ?”

-“How do I learn how to log on?”

-“What are some tips for using our BreakoutEDU games?”
