Interested in teaching stream ecology, but don’t have all of the tools that you need to start? Look no further than the Leaf Pack Simulation!

Click here or the image above to learn more about the Leaf Pack Simulation and other free watershed education resources!

Learn things like:

  • Where can I find free engaging science lessons for my students?

Find Leaf Pack Simulation Here and find other cool resources on the Leaf Pack Network

  • What makes this site so special?

This resource is a great way to introduce stream studies and practice them before going to a stream as well as to be able to bring similar learning to the classroom if you are unable to visit a stream or do a real leaf pack study at this time! It is also a great way to ease into environmental education activities like this if you are new to this and aren’t ready to teach lessons with real creatures just yet.

  • What types of supports does this program have?

This resource is beginner student and beginner teacher ready! There are downloadable materials, instructions under the activity page, and the site is easy to use and straightforward.

  • What else does this site offer?

Ready to move into real leaf packs? This site has everything you need to conduct a leaf pack study!  Want to dive further into the world of Macroinvertebrates? Check out the mobile apps and videos connected to the website! Interested in teaching your students how to be a steward for our water system? The WikiWatershed is a great watershed simulation tool with so many functions!
