Breakout EDU Updates

Posted by Lori Blantz on Nov 9, 2022 7:30:00 AM

Breakout EDU Updates - cLICK ON THE IMAGE BELOW AND LISTEN TO THREE 90 SECOND VIDEOS EXPLAINING THE NEW FEATURES.

The BreakoutEDU team has been hard at work making updates that we believe you and your class will love! Let’s explore the new Breakout EDU features and functionality that have been released this month.

New Search Capabilities

First, the Breakout EDU search is better than ever. Just type in your keyword to browse our ever-growing collection of games. OR click on “EXPLORE ALL” to see all the available categories. Need to narrow it down even further? Use one of the three filters beside the search bar to dive deeper into grade levels, subject areas, or game type. The magnifying glass will focus your sights on games that are perfectly-suited to you and your classes.

The bigger and better search results are packed with information so you can quickly evaluate which game is right for you. AND we’re especially excited about the updates to our game details screens! Here you’ll find everything you need to set up and facilitate a Breakout EDU game. With game resources and answer keys that you can access with a quick click, and clearer, more concise set-up instructions for kit games, your students will be playing in no time. Best of all, each lock now has its own information section with explanations to help you know how players will solve it. The combination is hidden until it’s clicked so you don’t accidentally give it away. And coming soon, your favorite games will even include an image of the puzzles your players will use to crack the codes and conquer those combinations.

Congratulations to our March Contest Winner

Posted by Lori Blantz on Mar 16, 2019 8:07:41 PM

Jessica Sweitzer won a BreakoutEDU box to use with her Speech and Language students. In her essay she shared that this year she had the opportunity to borrow BreakoutEDU boxes to use with a variety of her students. The students' excitement of reaching a shared goal became tangible. Watching everyone work together to solve problems and open actual locks to “win” was incredible. Her students continued to ask her on a weekly basis when is their next "breakout". Now she is so excited to have her own box! Thank you Jessica for the work you do with our students.

Introducing BreakoutEDU

Posted by Lori Blantz on Jan 31, 2018 10:11:29 AM

Might just have to say I found the neatest activity to do with students!!! How many of you have been to an Escape Room- maybe the one in Lancaster, maybe in Lititz, maybe some other location??? Well, take the fun from being with friends and trying to escape out of the room and add some students and some fun subject matter and you get BreakoutEDU. Here is a video for 2 minutes to explain. This is just like the Escape Room concept, but for education.
