Posted by Lori Blantz on Mar 7, 2022 11:49:00 AM

7 Steps to the Fluor Challenge

The submission window for the 2022 Fluor Challenge opens February 20 during Engineers Week. We are already seeing exciting student engineering underway as students work on designing, building, and testing their paper ball runs!

On the fence about trying the Fluor Challenge? Do it! Our 7 Steps to Success post breaks down the process from start to finish. We've got lessons, worksheets, and videos to help. With simple materials (just paper and tape) and a challenge that is fun for all ages, the Paper Ball Run Challenge is one you can easily do with students. They'll be using the engineering design process, practicing teamwork and troubleshooting skills, and exploring the physics of forces of motion, kinematics, types of energy, and simple machines.
