Who doesn't like the opportunity to win something for free!

Posted by Lori Blantz on Feb 27, 2026 10:30:00 AM

Hey, did I get you on that title? Do you like having the opportunity to possibly win something for free with little to no work? One of our STEM teachers, Melissa Myer shared about an opportunity through Science Buddies to win a free, hands-on science and engineering kit for you and your students. I just submitted my chance to win maybe you would like to give it a shot. Here is the information.

Would free, hands-on science and engineering kits help you and your students?

Our Kit Club program has delivered thousands of STEM kits to teachers across the U.S. Although we can't send kits to everyone, more local sponsors partner with us each year to support teachers and students through Kit Club.

We are building our list of interested teachers for current Kit Club opportunities and for the 2026–2027 school year. We invite you to sign up for a chance to receive free STEM kits for your classroom.

What is the Science Buddies Kit Club?

Kit Club matches classrooms with sponsors interested in supporting hands-on science education in local communities with STEM kits. Requirements and kit selection vary depending on the sponsor and available funding.

Science Buddies STEM Kits are designed by our team of scientists and educators to support authentic, inquiry-based learning. These kits:

· Pair directly with scientist-authored projects on our website.

· Support a range of learning levels, depending on the project.

· Enable real science and engineering investigations.

Kits can be used for classroom instruction, school maker spaces, science fairs, or independent student projects. If selected, you will receive information about the specific kits available through your sponsor and can choose from those options to find the best fit for your students.

"We love Science Buddies! It has helped me gain confidence in teaching STEM. It has also really helped me with ideas and planning. I feel like the students really benefit from this website and are more excited about science than ever before!"

- Teacher, Vilas, CO

How to express interest

It takes just a few seconds to let us know how Kit Club would make a difference for your students.

· Log in to your Science Buddies account and indicate your interest in Kit Club.

· If you are unable to access your account, please contact us at scibuddy@sciencebuddies.org for assistance.

How selection works

We review all interested teachers and match classrooms with sponsors on a rolling basis throughout the year. If a sponsor becomes available in your area, we may follow up with additional information.

Submitting your interest does not guarantee selection.
