STEM Coaches

Where did September go? A lot occurred in September. Giovanna and I are so excited to begin teaching STEM lessons again for our students and staff. It might look a little different, but different is good. I love the quote “I am different.  Not less.” – Temple Grandin  We are not doing anything less, just different.

I love when colleagues find great resources and share with me! Here are some recent ones that I think are fabulous and worth sharing to everyone.

1. From Alex Rutt- ES teacher: Logic Puzzle Website LogicLike: an educational game for students and adults - This is a neat resource to have our students focus on thinking logically. Students (and staff) can create an account using Google. Free accounts allow students to do access several puzzles a day. Check it out. It is a little addicting🤓 Alex uses it as a whole group activity with his students.

2. From Erica Peterson- MDS teacher: Virtual Math Manipulatives If you are in need of virtual math manipulatives for your lessons. Check this one out.

3. Good find by a staff member. Sorry I can’t remember who sent this to me but wanted to share. Safe Share There is a website: https://safeshare.tv/?scrlybrkr You take a YouTube link, copy, and paste it here:

It will then cut out the ads that show up at the beginning and generate a new link to copy and paste into whatever platform you are using.  (Google, Schoology, email, etc).

DO YOU NEED MATERIALS TO ENHANCE OR EXPAND YOUR TEACHING...

Hope you are taking advantage of some of the resources we have received via grants and other funds. Here is a list of Google Forms to sign out materials
