Update on STEM Donations:

Posted by Lori Blantz on Feb 12, 2019 6:50:00 AM

Sending a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who helped with the STEM Item Donations: Thank you all for your generous donations of all the items I had requested from my last blog or message in the Staff News at IU13. We have used so many of the items so far and I am ready for the rest of my February lessons. Thank you again. I also want to also thank those that emailed me about Art of Recycle in Ephrata. I had known about this amazing place where I also get items for my STEM lessons. I have some new items that I am in need of now for March lessons. I have plenty of items that I had requested before.

March needs:

  • any size or length PVC piping
  • wooden blocks
  • wooden mixing spoons
  • old saucepans
  • old mixing bowls
  • old airtight containers with lids
  • shoe boxes but with attached lids only please
  • ....still need baby food jars:)

Thank you all again. I will update my blog and the Staff IU13 News when I have all the items I need.

If you can help donate any of the above items that you may have around the house instead of throwing them out, please bring it in to the IU13 Lancaster or Lebanon office and place it in the large plastic container labeled "Lori Blantz STEM Maker Space Items" or drop off near Lori's desk location at the IU13 Lancaster office. We greatly appreciate your help.

If you are interested in implementing these types of lessons in your classroom for the 19-20 school year, please let your supervisor know or contact Lori Blantz directly at lori_blantz@iu13.org.
