Instructional Training & Resources for Staff

Posted by Lori Blantz on Sep 14, 2020 7:00:00 AM

This summer, Giovanna and I offered several online Professional Development (PD) sessions using courses in Schoology. I have taken these courses and updated them to remove all the assignments and discussion posts and just provide the training videos and resources for instruction. If you did not attend a session this summer, but would like to learn more about

  • Google Classroom and Schoology
  • Google Apps such as Drive, Docs, Slides, Forms and Sheets
  • LEGOs : How to use and sign out ones we have for instructional learning
  • Interactive Technology: A Different Kind of STEM How to use and sign out ones we have for instructional learning

please join the course(s) by following these directions. Schoology Course Access. Please note, I am not offering PD time for these courses. I am just offering them as a training resource.

Also, I would like to give a shout out to teacher Angi Meyer (MDS program) for a great tip she found one morning drinking her coffee. 🤩 Bitmoji Classrooms are the big hit of COVID-19. Angi learned how to share a link so that it opens the slide directly in “present” mode. This is PERFECT for Bitmoji Classrooms. It takes away the toolbar and only allows students to click on the links.

Angi typed up directions to share with you. Directions for present mode in Google Slides It’s a game changer. She also included a link of her Fun Friday Bitmoji Classroom so you can see how it looks. Angi Meyer's Fun Friday Bitmoji Classroom
