- Screencastify Tips: When we started teaching virtual lessons last spring I shared out a tool called Screencastify. Free 5 minute or under videos you can make for your students. With the record function of Screencastify you can use their features to help engage your students and retain their attention. These features include, their drawing tools, their customizable webcam, lightning trim and mouse effects. Check out this short 2 minute video for a rundown on how to use Record’s features in Screencastify to reach your students. Create Effective Instructional Videos with Screencastify
- Digital Worksheets: Back in March of 2020 I was receiving free 1x a week Digital Worksheets from two websites that I subscribed to. As of today I have received 170 Digital Google Slides or Worksheets. I can’t believe in a month we have been dealing with this COVID Pandemic for a year. I will still be adding to my Digital Worksheet Google Folder with these worksheets when I get them. Please click on this link if you would like access to all the Digital documents. They are labeled by date.
- An oldie by goodie: Storyline Online, click here to access. It is always neat to have a story read aloud to students, but what is better is having a celebrity reads it. Storyline Online is a website that has themed books read by actors/actresses. Check out the one read by James Earl Jones, called To Be a Drum, did you know that James Earl Jones is dyslexic, a stutterer, and did not talk until the age of 14! All Storyline books are closed captioned.
- Chinese New Year Digital Lesson - It was Feb 12, 2021. I know I am late on this, but it can still be used as a resource for primary grades.
Look on the right hand side of this Blog post for our next prize give-a-way. Could it be you? SECs or Program Designee will be nominating staff or classes each month and the winner or winners will be randomly selected using Wheel of Names featured in last week’s Blog. Good Luck!
