Build an Igloo

Construct a self-supporting, domed igloo using only sugar cubes. To succeed, your structure must be perfectly circular and hold its own weight without collapsing inward.

Design a Ski Lift

This lesson focuses on unique challenges in transportation engineering, such as devising a

A method for skiers or hikers to reach the summit of a mountain.

Downhill Skier 

The goal is simple: create the fastest racer to conquer the classroom ski ramp while surviving the forces of gravity and friction.

Dissolving Candy Hearts

Students will need to determine which liquid is the most effective solvent for a candy heart and to identify the variables that speed up or slow down the dissolving process.
