Happy Snow Day to most of you...

Posted by Lori Blantz on Feb 1, 2021 9:32:43 AM

Good morning- for many of you today, Monday Feb 1st, you had a snow day. For others,  a virtual day of learning. Regardless what category you fit in; hope your day was great. I wanted to share out something regarding Google Classroom that many of you might know already, but some are just finding out now.

Google Classroom only allows 100 Topics to be made. topics

So what does that mean for you now if you are using Google Classroom.

Here are your options:

1. Stop adding topics or changing your current Google Classroom and create a "Second Semester" Google Classroom for the rest of the year. ****This is the more favorable one b/c you will not lose any of your work for the year or future years and will have work for all the days of the school year. ****

2. Combine Topics -ie take the 5 topics for a week and make them just 1 topic for one week. You can edit all work under topics and rename topics. If you need help with this please watch this video or reach out to Lori or Giovanna.

3.. Delete any topics that you might not need or repeat the same information. ***Only delete what you feel you can. When you delete you will no longer have the material. I WOULD ONLY RECOMMEND THIS IF YOU HAVE THIS INFORMATION SOMEPLACE ELSE. ***

Blog Contest :

Why let the awesome lessons you just used or observed go to waste? For this year's contest, we are asking you to share lesson photos, and the lesson you used along with any lesson support materials with us using this Google Form!

Those who share a photo along with the lesson plan will be entered in our monthly drawing for a chance to win a lesson with Giovanna. Together you will plan a lesson for your students focusing on the content of your choice.

“THANK YOU!” for all you do for our students at IU13.👍
