Great week for some neat things for your students. Happy Valentine’s Week.

  • March STEM STUDIO 108 VIRTUAL STEM LESSONS are added. Sign up to hold your spot! Virtual STEM Lessons. If you are interested in attending the MARCH LIVE lessons please sign up on this Google Form. Keep this Google Doc link nearby as we add lessons and video links. Our live lessons are going well. Join us if you want to check them out. 
    1. Discovery Education and NASA- Join them for the #Countdown to Mars.: After its exciting launch on July 30, 2020, Perseverance is set to touchdown on Mars February 18, 2021. To commemorate this momentous occasion, we’re teaming up with NASA to bring you a special livestream event! Take this opportunity to engage students across the STEM fields with insights into the Mars mission, live footage of the landing, and ready-to-use activities and resources from our Explore Space with NASA channel. Learn more here to register at this link.  Thursday February 18th at 2:15pm will be the live landing broadcast: Perseverance Rover Lands on Mars. This livestream will feature insights from NASA experts, the Perseverance mission control team, and the real-time touchdown! You don’t want to miss this. 
  • Create a Classbook and become published authors : Sandi Good, SEC at VREC, shared with us about a website where teachers can publish 1 free class book. Click on this link to order your free publishing kit. You and your class, receive the kit, send it in, and get a hardcover book back. One free book per teacher. 
  1. Finally, as shared by Sandi Good, the 3rd MP is sometimes a good time to switch some things up. She shared with me three sites that provide a wide variety of grade levels, a wide variety of subjects/topics, a wide variety of games, activities and lessons and are pretty straightforward and easy to use.
