Discovery Education February Updates

Posted by Lori Blantz on Feb 1, 2022 7:53:16 AM

This was shared by Ken Zimmerman about the February 2022 DE Updates

This Month at DE

Daily Ready-to-use Activities

  • This month's activity calendars have ready-to-use activities for every day of the month to engage students with a variety of science, social studies, math, and ELA content. The ready-to-use activities combine the best of the SOS Strategies with high-quality content, giving you that magic formula for constructive, engaging activities that save teachers time. DE continues to release a new calendar each month with timely and relevant content, so be sure to subscribe to the Activity Center channel in DE.

  • February 2022:

Sandbox AR

  • Sandbox AR is an augmented reality ‘maker’ app that allows students and teachers to create, share, and even inhabit virtual environments. By placing a stage on a flat surface and adding models to create a sandbox, students create a virtual world they can experience and share.
  • To learn more and to view the Sandbox AR app in action, visit discoveryeducation.com/programs/augmented-reality/

Blog Contest :

Why let the awesome lessons you just used or observed go to waste? For this year's contest, we are asking you to share lesson photos, and the lesson you used along with any lesson support materials with us using this Google Form!

Those who share a photo along with the lesson plan will be entered in our monthly drawing for a chance to win a lesson with Giovanna. Together you will plan a lesson for your students focusing on the content of your choice.

“THANK YOU!” for all you do for our students at IU13.👍
