This summer, July 21, 2021,  we are offering a professional development training on Discovery Education along with PBS Learning and BrainPop. If you are not using these programs and would like to learn more about them please sign up on MLP for our summer session. There is so much to learn about Discovery Education. It is so much more than just videos. Instructional images, lessons, materials, etc can be found for all subjects, yes, I said all subjects!  Discovery Education has an entire Channel focused on SEL. They prioritize student self-care on World Teen Mental Wellness Day. Check out this document on all the Winter 2021 Updates regarding Discovery Education and learn about them and many more first hand at our July 21, 2021 training. This is open to all professionals, and paraprofessionals if they attend with their classroom teacher. So please know, a professional can come on their own, but, if a paraprofessional would like to attend, their teacher must attend as well.

Thank you Kristin Lentz for sharing a really neat site with me this week. The website is Wordwall: Create better lessons quick. It is a free site that allows teachers to create their own online review and practice games using prefabricated formats.  Once registered, the teacher can select an already developed game or can create their own with their own content. You can sign up for a free account using your IU13 Google Account. Here is a video on how to use it. Enjoy. Thanks Kristin.

PBS Kids has an app on their website for Dr. Seuss. Try it out click here

Look on the right hand side of this Blog post for our next prize give-a-way. Could it be you? SECs or Program Designee will be nominating staff or classes each month and the winner or winners will be randomly selected using Wheel of Names. Good Luck!
