cK-12 - The CK-12 Foundation is a California-based non-profit organization which aims to increase access to low-cost K-12 education in the United States and abroad. CK-12 provides free and customizable K-12 open educational resources aligned to state curriculum standards. You can align to any state standard or NGSS. The CK-12 site has a wealth of great content that teachers can use in the classroom. CK-12 is essentially a digital textbook. However, in addition to text, teachers and students will find multimedia such as videos and interactive simulations. This site works with Google Classroom and Schoology, or you can invite students to join with code. I have worked with Ken Zimmerman to have CK-12 connect with Schoolgy and Google Classroom. If you use Schoology, you can go to Add Materials and CK-12 is there and you can add directly from your account to your Schoology Course.

Subject areas are math, science and social studies. This site is a great resource for K-12 resources including text, videos and interactives. This site is another great STEM resource. NEW FOR HS TEACHERS of BIOLOGY cK-12 is excited to share new embedded interactives in some of their Biology, Chemistry, and Physical Science FlexBook® 2.0 lessons. HS teachers help is needed! Join their select group of highly innovative teachers giving feedback to enhance the tools interactivity.

* Choose one or more lessons, and share them with your students.

* Then provide your feedback by submitting a teacher and/or student feedback form.

All lessons and feedback forms can be accessed from here: Science Interactives - Biology, Chemistry & Physical Science
