BrainPop and other Programs

Posted by Lori Blantz on Nov 4, 2019 7:00:00 AM

I can not believe it is already November 4th. Our first contest give-away is approaching. We have two items to give away. I have received several essays and I am still accepting them until November 11th . Please see contest rules on the right hand side of my blog.

I decided to create a post to review with staff how to access the many websites that the IU13 has provided for staff and students. The one I continue to get a lot of emails about is "How do I access my BrainPop account?" BrainPop accounts are associated with your Google Account, so that means you need to access your account via your Google Drive.

Here are the steps to do that:

1. Click on your "apps waffle" in the upper right hand side of your Google Drive. The "apps waffle" is the nine dots that look like a phone pad.

2. Scroll down to the bottom of the list and click on MORE.

3. Scroll down to the bottom and click on the icon for BrainPop.

4. Once you are at the BrainPop website, go to the top right and where it says "enter code". Enter in our code which is: ECOM5412.

5. You should now be logged into your BrainPop account.

6. You will always need to log into BrainPop through your Google Drive; but once you enter the school code you will not have to do that again. Just find the BrainPop app and click on it.

For staff that have iPads: There are two BrainPop apps on the iPad. Logging into the apps on the iPad is different than on your laptop. The iPad apps are for the free movies; but you can access your account via the Safari app and log in like you do on your computer – through Google Drive and the directions above.

To access other websites that are provided to staff and students please refer to this handout.
