Can you Believe it is almost 2021?

Please do not hesitate to reach out to your ECSES IT and STEM coaches via email at esces-it@iu13.org

Lori and I are happy to share our NEW Monthly STEM Lessons! We hope you love Bitmoji slides as much as we do! The first slide, STEM Lesson Building 101, provides a quick video overview of the new tool, a video on how to edit slides, and a video on how to find images. The following two slides provide 4 STEM lessons for the month of December and January! Remember, each lesson you have access to can be edited to better meet the needs of your students! You'll even get a sneak peek at our monthly STEM slides for February, March, and April! If you are in our STEM Google Classroom then this collection can also be found in "Classwork" under the topic, "New Addition: Monthly STEM Lessons". Enjoy and let us know how we can help.

We have some winners!

Congratulations to our December Prize Giveaway Recipients. Rhianna Kalescky, ES teacher at VREC, and Keara Durkin, AS teacher at Denver Elem. Please watch this video of the live drawing that was done yesterday.Dec Contest

🤗🤗New items to share from Krista Buckwalter - SEC at Fairland: Thanks Krista 🤗🤗

Virtual Field Trip_Zoo America Here is a resource you are more than welcome to use. Just click on the link to make a copy and save the copy to your drive. This activity could take students some time. You can project in/share screen on Zoom and go through each animal in the Zoo America exhibit, and then work on Google search skills/typing to find the answer to each question. Or students could be assigned this individually on Google Classroom and they can work on it independently- whatever you feel would work best for each ability level.

Website: Learning Library by education.com This is a free website full of material for PreK-6th grade on Lesson Plans, Online Games, Printable Worksheets that can be uploaded to a LMS for students to write on, and so much more. You can assign the online games directly to Google Classroom. For students to access the online games or worksheets they just log in with their school Google Account. There is a Premium version that has sub plans, guided lessons, and a data tracker for student work. I do not push staff to get paid licenses, but wanted to let you know that this website is free with a lot of things, but there is a premium version as well.

Look on the right hand side of this Blog post for our next prize give-a-way. Could it be you? SECs or Program Designee will be nominating staff or classes each month and the winner or winners will be randomly selected using Wheel of Names featured in last week’s Blog. Good Luck!

Blog Contest :

Why let the awesome lessons you just used or observed go to waste? For this year's contest, we are asking you to share lesson photos, and the lesson you used along with any lesson support materials with us using this Google Form!

Those who share a photo along with the lesson plan will be entered in our monthly drawing for a chance to win a lesson with Giovanna. Together you will plan a lesson for your students focusing on the content of your choice.

“THANK YOU!” for all you do for our students at IU13.👍
