Superintendent Qualities and Qualifications
Southern York County School District is seeking a visionary and innovative leader, who will continuously evaluate and update the educational and extracurricular programs to ensure the continued success of our students and the District as a whole. The candidate must also be an effective steward of District resources and a skilled communicator who utilizes a hands-on approach in addition to high-level problem-solving skills to achieve practical solutions. The candidate will be skilled in hiring and retaining the best teachers and staff available.

Timeline & Process
The successful candidate is anticipated to begin on or about July 1, 2022.
Desired experiences include: Knowledge of educational research, trends, and innovation; school district fiscal operations and budgeting; community engagement and involvement; minimum of 5-7 years successful, visionary, top-level leadership within an educational setting; Doctorate degree preferred.
Requirements: PA letter of eligibility; university transcripts; all required clearances, current Act 24; three (3) current letters of recommendation; application, cover letter, and resume.
