The Eastern Lebanon County School District is seeking highly qualified candidates to serve as Superintendent of Schools.
The Eastern Lebanon County (ELCO) School District is a rural district, with a population of 22,401 residents, located east of the City of Lebanon and bordering Lancaster County to the south and Berks County to the east. The district encompasses approximately 72.4 square miles and is comprised of five municipalities: the boroughs of Myerstown and Richland, and the townships of Heidelberg, Jackson, and Millcreek. The District is made up of primarily residential housing with few industries. Most local businesses within the District are small and privately owned.

District Info
The District's nearly 2,400 students are housed in five schools:
- Jackson Elementary School & Fort Zeller Elementary School - serving nearly 500 kindergarten through second grade students.
- ELCO Intermediate School - serving 550+ third through fifth grade students.
- ELCO Middle School - serving 550+ sixth through eighth grade students.
- ELCO High School - serving 750+ ninth through twelfth grade students.
ELCO School District employs approximately 280 staff (191 professional, 15 administrative, and 111 support) with an operating budget of $53 million.
ELCO Highlights
- A strong, cohesive leadership team including the Board of Directors, the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent, the Business Manager, building administration, and professional and support staff.
- Ongoing commitment to communication between the District, staff, parents, and students.
- Quarterly Superintendent-Parent Advisory Committee, coupled with building-level Principal-Parent Committees, designed to keep the community informed of current and upcoming happenings across the District and allowing for reciprocal dialogue between school and home.
- Strong partnership with the ELCO Education Foundation.
- Standards-aligned curricula, including pacing guides for specific content areas with embedded technology standards.
Superintendent Qualities and Qualifications
Eastern Lebanon County School District is seeking a leader who posesses:
- Knowledge of school district fiscal operations and budgeting, curriculum development, and community engagement and involvement,
- Strong organizational development and supervision skills,
- and at least 10 years of leadership experience in multiple levels of education necessary, including administrative/supervision.
