Announcing The First Annual Delta Waterfowl Outdoor STEM Safety Invention Competition!

Competition Details:
- Competition Overview: Students (ages 12 through high school seniors) will work in teams of 3 or more to design innovative solutions that improve safety in outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, boating, and hunting. Teams will develop a functional prototype or live/virtual demonstration and present their work at the final judging event.
- Challenge Brief: Design or improve safety gear for outdoor activities, using real-world incident data.
- Deliverables: Prototype or model, or virtual presentation demonstrating the concept and operation.
- Judging: A panel of three judges will evaluate based on innovation, functionality, and impact.
- Teams: Up to 20 total teams accepted
- Final Competition: May 4, 2026 at the Middle Creek Wildlife Refuge auditorium
