Not every teacher (or student) feels confident with artistic skills—and that’s okay! Thanks to AI-powered image generators, creativity is no longer limited by drawing ability. These tools allow teachers to bring ideas to life visually, sparking imagination and supporting deeper learning. Here’s how you can use generated images to enhance writing instruction and empower your students.
How can I use this in my classroom?
- Generate images of scenes from a book.
- Create an interesting image for a writing prompt
- Ask students to help write a prompt that the teacher generates, previews, and then shares.

- Access Adobe Firefly
Go to Clever and sign in with your Google Account.
- Choose “Media”
Select the option to generate an image. And choose your Image size.
- Enter Your Prompt
Use descriptive language based on your students’ ideas. Example:
“A glowing forest at twilight with lanterns hanging from trees and a small wooden bridge over a stream.”
- Customize the Style
Firefly offers options like photo, illustration, or digital art. Pick what fits your lesson.
- Generate & Download
Click Generate, review the results, and download the image to share with your class.
