While schools are typically very safe, in fact safer than their communities, sometimes disaster does strike. When that happens how schools respond and recover is critical. However unlike many businesses that can close and take time to recover schools are relied upon to educate and care for our communities children. School represents a consistently safe and positive environment for many children who don't experience that reliability anywhere else in their young lives. As a result recover and restoration of school services is critical.
The Lancaster Chamber of Commerce is hosting what appears to be a great workshop on April 25th to talk about business continuity and what to plan for should disaster strike.
